I don't remember the muppet show house band name, but the main dude was Dr. Teeth, and the drummer was Animal... ANIMALLLLL!!! (drum set smashing ensues...)
I have just fallen in love all over again with the muppet show house band. Great work on the character names...
This is my desktop now... It actually fit perfectly, with all my icons in the space on the left, without any adjustments!

The band is called Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem
The band consisted of Dr. Teeth (band leader and piano), Janice (guitar), Sgt. Floyd Pepper (bass guitar), Zoot (saxophone) and Animal (drums). In season five, Lips joined the band (trumpet). Animal, Floyd, Zoot and Janice also played in the Muppet Show pit band, performing the opening and closing themes and underscoring most of the Muppet Show performances. Rowlf the Dog was the pit pianist, however.
Truly fascinating. Kids don't have good stuff like the Muppets today. Too much of that Barney crap (and it really is just a big purple turd).

Don't know if you have watched any of that Rockstar: Supernova show, but the house band drummer cites Animal as one of his influences. I personally think the house band is way better than Supernova will be.
I got caught up in the first season of Rockstar: INXS. I have dabbled in the Supernova, but there isn't the same story for me. Who cares if Tommy Lee and his big wanger want to start another band.
